Garage Door Group - Warkworth81 Point Wells Road, Point Wells 0986

The town we are named after
Warkworth Garage Doors became Garage Door Group, but the base and the people did not move.
We work on the character houses in the old town, the new builds on the edges, the coastal homes out at Snells Beach, Point Wells and Omaha, and Matakana and the lifestyle blocks up the valleys behind it.
We are based in the town, which is why our vans are on these roads every day rather than coming up from the city when a job is big enough to justify the trip.
What we get called for around Warkworth
Doors specified and fitted to programme, with the motor and power sorted before the linings go on. We are used to working to a builder's timeline rather than our own.
Out towards Snells Beach, Point Wells and Omaha, the bottom panel is usually what goes first. Aluminium is often the better long-term answer within a few streets of the water.
Wide openings, farm sheds and workshops, where a light commercial roller door is the right specification rather than a residential door pressed into service.
Areas we cover from Warkworth
- Warkworth township and Warkworth North
- Matakana, Point Wells and Omaha
- Snells Beach and Algies Bay
- Leigh and Pakiri
- Puhoi and the Dome Valley
- Wellsford and the surrounding rural blocks

Why work with us
Windsor manufacture our sectional and roller doors at their South Auckland facility. They've been supplying quality garage doors across NZ for almost 30 years, and we're proud to be their trusted partner servicing from the Harbour Bridge to the Brynderwyns.
From quote acceptance to installation, we work hard to make it a seamless process. If required, we can have your door operational in two weeks. Architectural doors require a longer lead-in time.
Has your door failed? Car stuck inside? We can normally get a technician with you the same day. If not, we will point you in the right direction to get a speedy outcome.
Our Windsor made COLORSTEEL® range is engineered locally to withstand the toughest conditions. This industrial grade durability comes with a rock-solid 10 year warranty. Choose COLORSTEEL®. Trusted by Kiwis.
Locally owned, serving Warkworth, Mangawhai and Silverdale. We know which products last in North Auckland conditions.
As a qualified plumber, Chris sets the 'tone' in the business amongst his colleagues. A stickler for standards, there are no shortcuts. The core philosophy is "Do it once, do it right". Quality service; quality product; happy days...
Like most businesses, we offer FREE, no obligation quotations. Our prices are very 'fair and reasonable' and tailored to suit most budgets.
Call us today and Chris will take your call direct and answer your questions. If you need a new door, he'll measure and quote and often install it. No sub-contractors or middle people. Keep it simple...
Common questions
For repairs and servicing, yes. The call-out fee covers the travel and the first hour of labour on site, and the charges are the same wherever you are, whether that is Mangawhai or Silverdale. New doors are different: the measure and quote are free anywhere in Rodney and carry no obligation. Warkworth is home, and Warkworth Garage Doors was one of the three businesses that became Garage Door Group, so we are on these roads daily rather than driving up from the city.
From the Auckland Harbour Bridge up to the Brynderwyns. That takes in Wellsford, Kaiwaka, Mangawhai and Langs Beach to the north, Matakana, Point Wells, Omaha, Leigh and Pakiri to the east, and Puhoi, Silverdale, Orewa, Millwater and Milldale to the south. We also cover the rural and lifestyle blocks in between, which is a good part of the work. If you are just outside that, call and ask rather than assuming.
Yes, and we would rather be involved early. Getting the opening size, the headroom and the power supply right before the linings go up avoids the compromises that appear when a garage door is specified last. We are used to working to a builder's timeline rather than our own, and we would rather hold a date than turn up when the site is not ready.
Within sight of the water, out towards Snells Beach, Point Wells or Omaha, aluminium resists salt air far better than steel and is usually worth the premium. Further inland, around the township or up the valleys, that argument weakens sharply and a COLORSTEEL sectional door is much better value. We will tell you which side of that line your house sits on at the measure.
Yes, and it is a good part of what we do around Warkworth. Wide openings on farm sheds and workshops usually want a light commercial roller door rather than a residential door pressed into a job it was not designed for. Tell us the opening size and what will be going through it and we will specify it properly.
Usually quickly, because we have technicians based here rather than travelling up. If your door is stuck, will not close or has a broken spring, phone rather than emailing and say so, and we will fit you into the day's run where we can. A door that will not close is a security problem and we treat it as urgent rather than routine.
