Garage door servicing that avoids the bill you didn't see coming
A garage door service costs less than a spring replacement and a lot less than a new door. A garage door is the heaviest moving thing in your house, and it needs the same attention as a car.
Lock in a service plan
Book it ahead and we'll come to you when it's due, rather than when something has already gone wrong.
If we installed the door and the opener, servicing is also a condition of the warranty cover. The schedule is set out here, along with what we check on each visit.

What we repair
Most faults we fix on the first visit, because the van carries the parts that fail most often.
The most common failure, and the one that stops the door dead. We carry the usual sizes.
Frayed or jumped cables, sorted before they take the door out of square.
Bent tracks, worn rollers, and doors that have come off their line.
Dented or damaged panels replaced without replacing the whole door where we can.
Perished bottom seals letting in water, leaves and draughts.
Openers that have stopped, and remotes that need replacing or recoding.

Salt air is hard on a garage door
If you're at Omaha, Snells Beach, Point Wells, Langs Beach or Mangawhai Heads, the salt gets into the springs, tracks and fixings faster than most people expect. Twelve-monthly is the right interval, with rust treatment and sealant each time.
Why people call us back
The sectional and roller doors we fit are manufactured at Windsor's Auckland facility. Building them here is what keeps the wait between quote and installation short.
Expect about two weeks from accepting the quotation to installation day. Specialist architectural doors and powder coated finishes take a little longer.
If your door has failed and the car is stuck inside, we aim to be with you the same day, and we will tell you straight away if we cannot.
Our best-selling range is locally manufactured NZ COLORSTEEL, with a 10 year warranty against defects. Standard non-COLORSTEEL doors carry 2 years.
Locally owned, serving Warkworth, Mangawhai and Silverdale. We know which products last in North Auckland conditions.
Our team gets it right the first time, which is why the Google reviews read the way they do.
Competitive rates, and we measure up and quote before you commit to anything.
Chris handles your job start to finish. No account manager in between.
Servicing questions
We organise the first service within nine months of a new door going in, to re-tension the springs once they have settled and check everything is running as it should. After that, every 18 months suits most homes, or every 12 months if you are in salty seaside air out at Omaha, Snells Beach, Langs Beach or Mangawhai Heads. A door that gets heavy daily use is worth doing more often. If we installed the door and the opener, servicing is also a condition of the warranty cover, and the schedule for that is set out on our warranty and servicing page.
We check and adjust the spring balance, lubricate and inspect the rollers, tracks, hinges and bearings, test the safety sensors and the auto-reverse, check the cables for fraying, tighten the hardware, and check the seals. Then we run the door through a full cycle and tell you what we found. Anything wearing out gets flagged before it fails rather than after.
That is exactly when it is worth it. Springs, rollers and cables are wearing parts, and a service catches them before they fail. A planned service costs a fraction of a breakdown call-out, and considerably less than the motor and cable replacement that follows a spring letting go. It is also much less annoying than a door that will not open on a work morning.
Yes, and that is most of our servicing work. It makes no difference who supplied the door or how old it is. We service sectional doors of any brand, residential and light commercial roller doors, and openers of any make. If we find something that needs attention while we are there, we will tell you what it is and what it costs before doing anything about it.
We are generally on site between one and four hours for servicing and repairs, and a routine service on a single door sits at the shorter end of that. If we find something that needs fixing while we are there, we will tell you what it is and what it costs before we start, so nothing appears on the invoice that you did not agree to.
Yes, and it is worth doing. A door that has sat unused for months behaves differently from one used daily: seals perish, hardware seizes and remote batteries die. Picking all three up before the season starts is considerably better than discovering them on the Friday afternoon you arrive with the car full and the family waiting. We cover Mangawhai, Langs Beach, Omaha and the coast for exactly this.
